CostHaversham Sailing Club is a RYA Recognised Training Centre. Qualifications earned on RYA courses are recognised and valued in most parts of the world. We have a superb team of volunteer Senior Instructors, Instructors and Assistant Instructors who give their time freely which enables us to offer a wide range of courses at a very reasonable cost. Most of our courses run over two days and two evening sessions, usually Thursday evening for shorebased work and Saturdays are spent afloat. Some courses run over a series of Thursday evenings. Tuesday Improver Sessions
Tuesday Improver sessions run every Tuesday between the first Tuesday in April and the second Tuesday in September. Sessions start at 6pm and finish at 9pm or dusk (whichever is earlier). The safety boat will be on the water and there will be shore volunteers to help with rigging most evenings. All are welcome to come along.
Occasionally on Tuesdays there are focussed sessions on single handers, double handers, racing or anything else members wish to improve on. To find out more, join the Facebook group.
The club organises first aid courses for instructors, those doing safety boat duties and those helping with children’s activities. Any member of the club can attend a first aid course but places are limited and priority is given to thosewho require it for their duties. There is also food hygiene training for those who serve in the galley.
