Flotsam and Jetsam
Covid-19 Update: 10th January 2021
Club Closed to all Members Until Further Notice
It has been pointed out to us by our Governing Body that, under the latest C-19 containment regulations, non-public facilities should close. This view is supported by guidance from Sport England. We had really hoped to avoid this but, after much soul-searching and with reluctance, we must abide by the spirit as well as the letter of the law.
With deep regret we are obliged, with immediate effect, to revert to the situation that existed during the November lockdown and close the lake and grounds to everybody – walkers, anglers and sailors alike. We apologise for the confusion, but the matter is not of our making and, again, we find ourselves asking for your understanding and compliance.

Half Crowners Whats App Group
We have set up a Halfcrowners WhatsApp group which is administered by Lester Merridal. This is intended for the regular Wednesday afternoon sailors or fettelers. Under these uncertain times and restrictions, it’s not intended as a formal gathering in any way, just a means of checking that if anyone is intending to free sail that for safety we can ensure that at least 1 other sailor is around so that we can keep an eye out for each other.
If you wish to be added to the group please contact Lester Merridale by clicking here or send an email request to email@example.com
